TamilNadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd (TANGEDCO) (USER ID: STNCHS000024) invites Online Application from eligible Diploma holders in Engineering (Passed during 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023), hailing from TamilNadu, for undergoing one-year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973. I. Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: –
1. Name of Post: Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Monthly Stipend (INR): Rs.8000 /-

No.of Training Places: 22
Monthly Stipend (INR): Rs.8000 /-

II. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) granted by a University in relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
III. AGE :
- Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
IV. RESERVATION OF VACANCIES:
- Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Resvervation for SC / ST / PwD will be followed. Those who are claiming reservation under SC / ST / OBC / PwD shall provide Certificate as per Government standard format, failed which their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only. If BC / MBC candidates claiming OBC (Non-Creamy layer) Category, they should bring OBC (NCL) certificate as per the approved (OBC (NCL)) format from the certificate issuing authority.
- 10% of TANGEDCO / TANTRANSCO Ward candidates in horizontal reservation.
V. MINIMUM PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
- As Prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments thereof if any.
VI. DURATION OF TRAINING:
- The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
VII. PREVIOUS TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to Apply.
VIII. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
- Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested with the task of preparation of shortlist from the online application data.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines.
- Shortlisted candidates shall intimated through their registered Email id. Shortllisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at TANGEDCO Office premises.
IX. HOW TO APPLY:

Type ‘A’ :-
For Students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and having login details.
STEP 1 :
a. Type the URL https://nats.education .gov.in/
b. Click Student
c. Click Student login
d. Click Forgot Password
e. Enter Registered email id to get activation link & Reset password.
STEP 2 :
a. Student login
b. Enter registered email id & new password
c. Complete application form
d. A unique Enrollment number (12 digit) for each Student will be generated.
After Completion of enrollment (new Portal migration) process
For applying
a. Login with email id with new password.
b. Under “Apply against advertised Vacancies”.
Search “TANGEDCO”
C. Click Apply (You Can see the status as “applied”)

Type ‘C’ – (First-time enrollment)
For Students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal
STEP 1 :
a. Type the URL https://nats.education .gov.in/
b. Click Student
c. Click Student Register
d. Complete the application form
e. A unique Enrolment Number (ATN……………….) 12 digits for each student will be generated. After completing the Enrollment.
For Applying:
a. Login with email id with password.
b. Under “Apply against advertised vacancies”
Search “TANGEDCO”
C. Click Apply (You Can see the status as “applied”)
Please Note: (Upload the Diploma Provisional Certificate (or) Consolidated Mark Sheet) Precentage of marks in the Diploma Examination is mandatory. Hence candidates are advised to compulsorily enter percentage of marks in the column % of marks in the NATS portal. If % of marks is not furnished candidature will not be considered.
